- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction
We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?
This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?
The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.
Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.
The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).
However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?
Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.
Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.
Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.
We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

jenny should have gone - what appalling people management skills!

Posted by: juliabaker26 on Thu Apr 03 12:35PM | Report abuseI think it was unfair decision!!!! I think after that the show will be less interesting for me!! I do not understand why Alan Sugar would want someone like Jenny to be his apprentice. Probably he is tired of all of this and does not care anymore that much .
Posted by: xena_tat on Thu Apr 03 12:35PM | Report abuseHaving worked for someone almost as bad as Jenny, I can quite understand why many people think she should have gone - and Michelle Mone was right to say that add a blonde wig and posher accent to make Katie. Jenny will go, but she was quick to pick up on Shazia being a late target and Shazia did not help herself by failing to fight her corner.
Posted by: david.a.hollins on Thu Apr 03 12:35PM | Report abuseI do think Jenny should have got fired, as she was a bully not a Team Leader. She had a eye to pick on a couple of people who she disliked from word go.
Posted by: evesmith2003 on Thu Apr 03 12:35PM | Report abuseJenny is more interested in being in charge than she is in managing to get the job done properly, she had the knife out for Shazia and Lucinda right from the word go - then in the boardroom at the end was grasping at any straw to try and get rid of Shazia - saying she'd lied and manipultaed - what ?! Shazia had left the laundry to go and finish the ironing with Jenny's full agreement ! And the way Jenny attacked Lucinda was the most unprofessional display of bullying I've ever seen. If she'd followed Lucinda's advice, they might have done better. She is clearly threatened by Lucinda's superior background. The smug look on Jenny's face when she didn't get fired was painful to watch - Alan Sugar wants his head looking at !
Posted by: fayeracheluk on Thu Apr 03 12:35PM | Report abuseMy thoughts exactly - Jenny should have gone and the only reason she didn't was from the advice of the producers. If the @#$% in the purchasing department goes on holiday and the businesses invoics are all wrong during her absence - is it her fault or the businesses for not having systems and contingencies in place. That Jenny character has been kept on for ratings - if the producers read this by any chance, please make it worth our viewing and let us witness the cow get her commupence. I am sorry Lucinda didn;t stick up for herself more, but I suppose she didn;t stoop as low. Jenny wont be the apprentice but we will see her stirring others up throughout the show.
Posted by: audrey05 on Thu Apr 03 12:35PM | Report abuseThe whole programme is a sham, its all about ratings and nothing to do with talent. They know who is to win before the show started. Sugar Daddy is only a front and contributes nothing to the show.
