- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction
We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?
This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?
The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.
Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.
The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).
However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?
Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.
Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.
Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.
We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

Totally agree - Jenny behaved appallingly. She has a very unfortunate manner and is far too fond of the sound of her own voice. She came across as an arrogant bully; in no way a team player. Certainly not someone I would ever want the displeasure to work with and I hope we will see the last of her in the next couple of weeks.

Posted by: aurafancydress on Thu Apr 03 12:30PM | Report abuseJenny came out of that task as a bit of a dragon to say the least. At the beginning, I thought the girls would win the task as they seemed to have their heads screwed on (the right way round) last week! May be I'm naive but I thought it was a bit under-hand of the guys to 'kid nap' the iron(s) in the morning and not return them once they realised they no longer needed them. Jenny should've gone though. She is coming across as the new Katie Hopkins for this series. It will be interesting to see how far she gets and I'm sure it'll be entertaining to watch her being fired when it does eventually happen.

Posted by: somhairle_maccormick on Thu Apr 03 12:31PM | Report abuseBaring mind to academic achievements of all the apprentices once again they have in the main shown that they have no practical skills and cannot work outside there comfort zone, I hope things start to improve.??
Posted by: anthony624 on Thu Apr 03 12:31PM | Report abuseLucinda failed to make the point firmer by saying shake and fold will reduce the task of ironing. which is quite correct but no one seemed to take any notice .She must be much tougher if she is to stay. How team leader ho ho managed to survive is a mystery. cheers brian
Posted by: brianjavea on Thu Apr 03 12:31PM | Report abuseyesterday I watched the show for the first time, just to know what the fuss was all about. I have this to say, surely this is not how Sir Alan make his fortunes? By allowing the innocent take the fall. Or is it the the case of the sacrificial lamb? I'm totally disappointed!
Posted by: ogunremi07 on Thu Apr 03 12:31PM | Report abusei agree. get jenny out. and to alan121grant yes it is real life, maybe not ours but it is some peoples real life. alex to win!!!!
Posted by: ailishmc on Thu Apr 03 12:31PM | Report abuseJenny should have definately been fired, her treatment of lucinda was uncomfortable and very hard to watch. In the boardroom jenny pulled out all the stops to save herself and that she did indeed. This is the one time i disagree with sir allen.
