- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction
We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?
This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?
The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.
Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.
The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).
However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?
Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.
Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.
Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.
We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

She should not have been fired, she was told by that bitch Jenny to go and look for irons to iron the laundry. I thought that Jenny was a useless team leader, going on all the time with no substance in what she was saying.Shazia was doing well in getting the laundry organised, she was made a scapegoat!
Posted by: bab2rob on Thu Apr 03 12:28PM | Report abuseAgree entirely with what you say! Jenny was rubbish but like many managers convinced herself that failure was nothing to do with her. "Take credit for the good but disown the bad" a poor managers mantra. @#$% were irritating and pompous but perhaps some careful editing may have had something to do with that.
Posted by: tonyccourt on Thu Apr 03 12:28PM | Report abusei thought shazia was a brilliant team player that jenny is a bully she should of gone, maybe next week
Posted by: cbegley3 on Thu Apr 03 12:28PM | Report abuseThere is no way that Shazia should have been fired - she had the bright idea of labelling all the clothes and making sure they stayed together. It was only after she left, having had another bright idea of grabbing the irons before the @#$% got home, that it all went pear shaped. Jenny is HORRIFIC. The way she spoke to the other @#$%, particularly Lucinda, was appalling. As for Raef and his fellow 'toffs' laughing and drinking Lattes in the taxi - what can I say?!! Jenny should have been fired last night.
Posted by: jagilligan on Thu Apr 03 12:28PM | Report abuseAbsolutely right, Jenny should of got the boot! She was argumentative (wouldn't let Lucinda speak) and had no common sence, she could not fathom out that folding the laundry would cut down on the ironing, duh!
Posted by: suzie.cowell on Thu Apr 03 12:29PM | Report abuseI have lost all faith in Sir Alan after his unvelievable decision to fire Shazia. In fact I'm not sure I can be bothered now to go on watching the programme, as it's quite obvious that Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who will make good TV over the coming weeks, rather than those who would make a good apprentice. Shame on him!
Posted by: ckingcome on Thu Apr 03 12:29PM | Report abuseI felt it was totally wrong Sir Alan chosing Shazia , It should have been Jenny. Shazia had all the laundry organised and made a good job of it . Jenny had no idea of how to organise or manage people she just liked to hear her own voice, it wont be long before she gets the boot.
Posted by: karenpayneuk on Thu Apr 03 12:29PM | Report abuseThe womans team failed because of the pricing structure and lack of organisation overall. Ultimately, that is why they lost. Any decent project manager would appraise the situation of releasing Shazia from her duties at the laundry or appoint another person to carry on with that task. If Sugars marketing start selling basic tv`s at £5000 a throw, who is he gonna fire? The stock management team? I dont think so. Sugar, you lost the plot on this one!
Posted by: xtopher.longley on Thu Apr 03 12:30PM | Report abuseI think Alan Sugar made a mistake last night. Shazia was not at all to blame and in my opinion was a good, strong candidate to win. Jenny is malicious and underhanded; surely he doesn't want people like that working for him? If he does, more fool him! I couldn't believe she accused Shazia of lying! When did she lie, was I making a cup of tea?! She is a good team player - she obviously didn't particularly like Jenny but she really did make the effort and just get on with it. Good luck to her!
Posted by: gemmagray1010 on Thu Apr 03 12:30PM | Report abuseJenny was too harsh to Lucinder, she was a terrible project manager. She is manipulative and delluded. She should have gone!
