Shazia Hung Out To Dry?

Shazia Wahab

- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction

We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?

This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?

The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.

Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.

The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).

However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?

Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.

Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.

Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.

We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

I completely agree. I thought it absolutely disgusting that Jenny was allowed to completely bully Lucinder for a completely unsubstatiated reason (mainly as she made it quite clear she doesn't like her) There's one thing being tough in business and theres another about becoming a playground bully!!!) The girl (Jenny) needs to take a good long hard look in the mirror at her own failings before she intimidates anyone else. Her behaviour was totally disgusting, unprofessional and uneccessary. Unfortunately for Shazia she just got caught up with the scorpians tail! Theres bigger and better things out there for you Shazia!

Jenny should definitely have been fired. She treated Lucinda appallingly going on and on at her in the which does not show managerial skills of an educated adult. Where was her accountability for the fiasco. She was so busy being dominating, overbearing and down right rude it's a credit to her team that they achieved anything and yes she definitely has favourites . Not very enjoyable to watch either.

definitely a scapegoat, jenny outright lied to defend herself, surely nick and margaret knew this....wasn't it jenny who actually muddled up the washing in her haste to leave the laundry? anyway at least shazia can walk away with her head held high and her dignity intact, on reflection I am sure she will be relieved to have escaped that bitchfest.....

I think it is appalling that Jenny was not booted out she is a horrible person with no peoples skills at all she doesn't know know how to speak to people and is arrogant and if you had her as a manager you would not want to approach her at all! Its alright being business like and a go getter but if you can't relate to people and be understanding that everyone has different personalities and the need to be tolerant then she needs to re-evaluate herself. Sir Alan hopefully will see this and I think as time progresses he will because if she wins it will be a terrible thing as there are so many nicer people who could easily do the job. She set those 2 others up to be the scapegoat - I have no time for her, she showed her true colours!

Jenny was a disaster. No planning skill; no sense of responsibility; divisive and patently incapable of running anything. i am quite sure that the programme director had a lot to do with the ultimate decision. The most extraordinary thing was that Sir Alan's team read it so badly or were edited to be see doing so.

Shazia shouldn't have gone! She was the one who put the laundary labeling procedure in place & then explained it to everyone! If these are meant to be the most intelligent business women in the UK surely they should have understood this!!! I just wish she'd stood up for herself on the boardroom!
