Shazia Hung Out To Dry?

Shazia Wahab

We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?

This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?

The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.

Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.

The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).

However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?

Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.

Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.

Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.

We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

If this is the quality of managers coming through, then this explains the fiasco at Heathrow!

All Shazia did was try to organise the team (becasue Jenny had failed miserably) and because of the incompetance of other team members things went wrong. Shazia was definately used as a scapegoat. Jenny should have been fired - she's patronising and a bully. Did you see the way she shouted others down?!

Alan Sugar should be fired. He looks scruffy and doesn't look good on TV. His views are biased.

Jenny is very annoying, i think it will be Sir Alan that will end up telling her to Shut-Up, as i find her really graining and condescending after a time, and poor Shazia didnt see the firing coming, and lol a liked the comment on The Apprentice You're Fired where it was said that with a posher accent and a cream suit jenny would be a katie II lol

Jenny should have got the boot, she was a terrible team leader, DID NOT listen to anyone's advice telling people to shut up which personally if someone told me to do that I'd wouldn't want to work for them or with them. The organisation of the task was terrible and she should have taken full accountability for her actions as team leader that's thier JOB!!

Was there another motive behind Alan Sugar firing Shazia?
