Shazia Hung Out To Dry?

We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?

This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?

The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.

Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.

The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).

However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?

Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.

Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.

Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.

We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

i thought the way jenny treated lucinda was nothing short of bullying, it was not very nce to watch. every time she tried to get her point accross she was told to basically shut up. and it was jenny who agreed that shazia should go back to the house so it should of been her who was fired. if jenny thought shazia should of stayed in the laundry to sort the clothes out then why didnt she tell shazia to stay at the factory and send some of the other girls home. i thik alan has lost the plot and is more bothered about tv figures the an actual good apprentice.

They should have all been fired as useless egotists with no understanding and attempting to blame all. No wonder the City is collapsing if this is the leadership we are presented with in industry. Would they know the real world if it hit them

Shazia only lost them £50 which had they not lost they still would not have been the winners. Lind & Jennifer lost them the hotel contract. They should have been back in the boardroom.

If Jenny thinks that good leadership is based on demeaning comments, false accusations, back stabbing and demoralising rudeness she will never get futher in life other than being a good sales person. She is obviously aiming for more but I really can't see Sir Alan giving her the job, after all who would want to have such a b*tch in his team, distracting all the other capable staff. Lastly shame on all the other girls for letting Jenny bully Lucinda!!!
