- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction
We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?
This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?
The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.
Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.
The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).
However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?
Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.
Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.
Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.
We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

Great tele - can't wait for next week. Hope Sir Alan keeps Jenny and Lucinda on the same team.
Posted by: williamspam on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseI have been a Senior Manager for years and am stunned by the actions of these young professionals. Whilst Lucinda does has some shortfalls, Jenny's treatment of her horfied me, she told her be quiet and she was stupid - if this is how a potnetial senior manager speaks to their team she or her company will very quickly face litigation for bullying and harrasment. Jenny would be a liability to Sir Alan, she has zero leader or leadership skills... and given that she demanded the project managers role and failed, she should have been sacked. I wouldn't employ her if she was the last manager in the country! Phil from Kent
Posted by: ph.white on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseJenny is undoubtedly irritating and not much of a leader. I was suprised that there wasn't more than one departure. However I think Sir Alan was looking at the fact that Shazia, although starting well with the organisation, left her responsibility behind to go and snaffle the irons (and have a sit down). Surely one of the other girls should have done that. Compare her with the soldier boy who played a similar role on the boys' team - not matter how irritated and hot he and his colleagues got doing the laundry he managed to keep it all under control. Perhaps Shazia was not thought to have "stickability"
Posted by: elainelmercer on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseShazia shouldnt of left them, however as project manager, Jenny was responsible for telling her not to. Jenny is a vile, hard faced, patronising bully and needs to be put in her place! FIRE JENNY!

Posted by: wilmick.com on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseClearly "Sir Alan" is not ever likely to be fair to candidates because ,either he realsises the importance of bias, complete self interest and downright lies when making good television, or the producer of the show has convinced him that the audience do not expect wisdom or integrity frrom him and would always rather he provided a back-biting, nail scratching, hair pulling s@#$%.
Posted by: tom.gorrie on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseI agree that Jenny should have been fired! What a horrible women and very bad project manager!
Posted by: wioletta_k120 on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseI have been wondering why Shazia was fired and yes, it must be because of the ratings that no doubt a baddie like Jenny will bring...its a shame Sir Allen cannot be genuine about hiring someone worth working for him.
Posted by: rahimsalam999 on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseSir Alan should just take a massive pay drop, then nobody would need to be fired!
Posted by: sandy.mcghie on Thu Apr 03 12:37PM | Report abuseI think Shazia got a rawl deal. Fair enough, she was responsible for labelling the items. But two things are important: (1) - she left to return to the house with the agreement of the project manager; (2) the fine associated with the mix up wasn't the reason they lost - even without a fine, the girl's team failed to price properly or get enough orders. The Team Leader was dire and should have been sacked.
