Shazia Hung Out To Dry?

Shazia Wahab

- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction

We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?

This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?

The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.

Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.

The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).

However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?

Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.

Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.

Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.

We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

BIG BIG mistake to fire Shazia. Can't believe Sir Alan didn't see the real issue. Can't stand that bossy bitch Jenny!!! She's got no quality but can only do dirty office politics.

Jenny was a typical leader who managers through aggressive attack and overwhelming presence. The fact she spent too long talking at the beginning as a ploy of covering all her bases in the eventuality of anything going wrong, and then acting as if she had deligated responsibility to individuals was a sleezy one. However Lucinda showed little initiative in picking a task and runnng with it made her an easy target. Shazia worked hard, but unfortunately lost the plot of handing over a task before she took on another task made her vulnerable. Saying that, Jenny would never work in my company, she is too draconian and overpowering in a bullying kind of way. SX

How Jenny was not given a slap just shows the control Lucinda and Shazia had in holding on to their tempers. Either Alan Sugar is losing the plot, or he is playing up for viewing figures. I will be generous and say it's the latter. Now, the quicker Jenny is outed, the better the program will be.

No way did Sir Alan make the right decision last night. I can't believe Jenny is still there. They are definetly getting rid of the quiet ones and keeping the loud annoying ones to entertain us! Raef is the only entertaining one!!!!

i agree, jenny was an awful team leader, she could have stopped shazia leaving or at least found out the labelling system, she had no spark and lost it for them and decided to lump all the blame on the other two to keep herself safe, she should have been fired.
