Shazia Hung Out To Dry?

Shazia Wahab

- Video: Watch Shazia's reaction

We couldn't believe it last night when Shazia became the second candidate to get fired. How did team leader Jenny manage to escape the boot?

This latest decision did make us wonder if Sir Alan is keeping in the candidates who would make a good apprentice or those who will make good TV over the coming weeks?

The latest task saw the teams set up rival laundrettes for the day. Pricing mix-ups and lost clothing meant that the sparks were flying in the cleaning establishments and at the end of the day the dirty linen was aired in the boardroom.

Raef was team leader in the victorious boys' team and managed to redeem himself after last week's task, which saw him almost face the axe. The split in the boys' camp is still very evident and noticeably Raef sent the more 'laddish' members of the team back to do all the hard work while himself, Kevin and Michael ('the toffs') rode around London in a taxi sipping lattes.

The losing girls' side, led by Jenny, had a disastrous week. Lindi and Jennifer decided to make up prices rather than doing any research and, as a result their pricing was either outrageously high (£5,000 to do a hotel's laundry) or ridiculously low (£15 to wash two loads of clothes from a fish restaurant).

However, both of them managed to avoid being taken into the boardroom to face Sir Alan - was it because they were favourites of team leader Jenny?

Lucinda certainly wasn't one of her favourites and it was hard not to feel sorry for her as bossy Jenny kept telling her to be quiet. Lucinda hasn't really shone so far in the series but her treatment this week did seem pretty harsh.

Sir Alan looked horrified when Jenny told Lucinda in the boardroom that she felt she had to breastfeed her during the task! It'll be very interesting to see how this pair get on over the coming weeks.

Shazia had been given the task of labelling the laundry given to the girls and therefore the blame lay with her when several items went missing. Yes, this was another disaster for her team but it did appear to be a genuine mistake on her part - and it was only one of a whole catalogue of errors. But Sir Alan didn't seem to see it that way and fired her.

We think that useless (and incredibly annoying) team leader Jenny should have been fired.

I's obvius Alan Sugar is told who to fire & it's not his decision. It's all about TV ratings. He should lose the title Sir.

I think it was a mistake to fire her. The Team Leader is there to oversee and ensure that this sort of mistake does not arise, and could Jenny have been set-up but it back-fired, I wonder, such a shame.

Agree that the decision was made based on who would make good telly!

jenny should definatley have been fired. from the evidence of the programme, and the evidence put forward by the candidates and sir alan, jenny shazia was definatley used as a scape goat. jennys patronising team leadership skills where uncomfortable to watch, at best. and then proportioning blame to other team members was scandalous. but i guess that is the name of the game

without doubt Jenny should have been fired, shw acted like a cornered rat in the board room. She was a bully and unable to manage her team which resulted in the lost task. No doubt the BBC kept her in for entertainment value.

I totally agree..In the taxi I thought Jenny was being a right bully going on at Lucinda. I feel so sorry for Shazia, what more could she have done? I don't think it was the right call at all, and I hated the smirk on Jenny's face when she knew she had got away with everything. She is a bad candidate and I hope she is fired very soon.
