Ex-Dollar singer David Van Day and TV presenter Timmy Mallett are the latest stars to join ITV's I'm A Celebrity.
However, both stars got a shock when they were 'kidnapped' on their way into the jungle and they will now be held at ransom while the other campmates decide if they are willing to make sacrifices for their freedom.
Viewers of tonight's show will see the ten original celebrities faced with the decision of whether they will give up their own food and luxury items to stop the newcomers from going hungry.
So, who are these new 'celebrities'? Well, David Van Day first found fame in 80s pop duo Dollar with hits including Mirror Mirror and O L'amour. He was nicknamed David Burger Van Day after it was revealed he had set up a burger van business several years ago. Van Day is no stranger to reality TV and has appeared on Living TV's Pop Goes The Band and ITV's Reborn In The USA, in which he famously clashed with pop singer Sonia. Watch David in action...
Timmy Mallett is best known for presenting 1980s children's TV programme Wacaday which first featured the infamous Mallett's Mallet game in which he would hit unlucky contestants over the head with an oversized mallet. He also topped the charts in 1990 with a cover of Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.
The presenter hit the headlines recently after The Sun revealed that his mallet had been stolen and launched an appeal for its safe return. Take a look at Mallett in action...

Posted by: ejc.graham on Thu Nov 20 01:46PM | Report abuseAre any of these people actually celebrities!!! This word is used too loosely I believe. You got an ex police man, a WAG and a page 3 bird. How does that make any of them being a celebrity!! Now the other 2 and probably skint and need the money and are trying to revive their careers somehow. All these programs are now outdated and should be binned. Luckily enough I've only had the misfortune to read about some of the things as I have a life and don't think that watching these people in the jungle is classed as entertainment so I paid £5 and got a life instead.
Posted by: njburch on Thu Nov 20 01:47PM | Report abuseDavid Van Day was great on reborn in the USA and is one half of great pop duo Dollar with Thereza Bazaar. Timmy Mallett is just an annoying, loud, over-excitable git.

Posted by: metb786 on Thu Nov 20 01:48PM | Report abuseThis show is used to help re-launch failing careers, and to those who desperately want more fame and money. Those who are in it for a bit of fun, are usually the ones who come out untarnished. Those that try to establish their careers based on how they behave in the jungle, end up loathed by the the masses they so long to impress. A washed up idea revolving around a washed set of has beens. A huge waste of time and money. Who (with any intelligence) cares whether the 'celebrities' cope or not!
