Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

    i think it was wrong that laura was voted out on saturday she is one of the strongest singers in the competition. I also think that Austen should never had been voted out either. It seems that the past 2 weeks a couple of the strongest singers have been put out WHY?. There seems to be some kind of scam with the phone lines or something. I think laura should be put back into the competition.

    The rules are the rules! She was in the bottom two so was eligible to go. If there was a problem with the voting lines then that would be different!

    laura white should be allowed back on the x factor,saturday night was unfair the only person who should be kicked of x factor is louis walsh horrible man, 1 thing is for sure laura should go back on that show and they should look at the votes and i can bet it would of been ruth going home, louis did that to be tactful he has only 1 group left and laura is a threat to them, plus the fact he sits there thinking he is a number music manager and his jibes are so perthetic he was nasty to cheyl saying that westlife have had more hits than girls aloud, she can have her opinion, then to make her apoligise to mark from westlife cause he was in the stuidio well ita dame right crazy. BRING BACK LAURA WHITE

    I can understand what people are saying. I would like to say, where were all there votes then if they are so upset about what happened. They did not support her by voting for her to stay in the show. She was voted out she should not come back it is unfair on others who have been voted off the show who could have the same argumment.If she does come back the blond who did not sing should be kicked of the show . Sorry Laura but that is the game its tought cookie she should not be aloud in back in the show that is final !!!!

    I don't think she should be allowed back. It was the right decision that she should go. If she is allowed back it would be a farce. You might as well bring everybody else back.
