Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

    yes i do she has a strong voice , i think in the final it should be laura and diana they are both good and both be given a chance

    Laura was fantastic but I do not think she should be allowed back on the show.She was in the bottom two and if Louie,s vote was tactical ,well they can all do that.

    laura is far better than daniel we all beleive he should have gone well before laura or even ruth how can 2 of the best singers be in the bottom 2 to start with bring her back please

    well me and my family are not happy that laura has left the x factor. laura is cracking and great and we love her voice and we think that it should have been no vote off last week due to the fact that diana was unable to sing thanks louise and family

    No of course she shouldn't be allowed back on.... she was in the bottom 2 and voted off... whats so different about her? She really isn't that good, sounds drunk half the time when she is singing. I am glad she has gone and quite frankly am sick of hearing her name now.

    whats the point in having viewer voting if their not going to take any notice of it. if they dont like the way the viewers vote then they should change the format of the program.

    I think that Laura should come back. I certainly agree with cheryl's cooments about it being a tactical move and louis walsh could have gone to dead lock. I think that laura should have one it, also there should be some other kinda of way diana to compete as that was not fair to allow that and not have laura in the bottom two.
