Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

    she was voted of so bye bye laura it just woudn't be fair if she came back and then won. You bring her back now do you bring here back again if she gets voted off i don't think so. Whats the point of viewers phoning up if you do that.

    I would have to say that as much as a shock it was that she was in the sing off in the first place - she was voted out fair & square. Yes, of course Louis could have sent it to deadlock but actually Simon voted to keep Ruth also - so why should Louis take all the blame. The decision was taken so everyone just has to live it, shouldn't start bending the rules now based on public outcry of few thousand - there are more serious issues in the world that deserve our attention!

    Laura should never have been voted off. She had a chance of winning and Ruth didn't. Simon and Louis should have based their judgement on this fact. Cheryl is right, the vote to get rid of her did appear tactical. Bring Laura back!!!!

    She should not have gone but what about others such as Austin, he was th eone i hoped would win, will he be back too/I doubt it. They sould not have gone but you cannot really bring any back in fairness to the others.

    At Last!!!, yes, you get back on there Laura, You are a winner without a doubt. Its not the same without you,and if your not back on the show, every single one of us out here will know they fixed it and got away with it.I have signed the petition, and renamed Louis!!.................... "LIMP LAME LOUIS!!!!"
