Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

    Laura should have went long before the time she did, as she did not get in fairly as like the others. I was so happy to see her go.

    This is a competition. That means there will be a winner and losers. Once you're out, you are out. End of.

    Rules are Rules she was voted off and that should be the final result, otherwise it make a mockery of the show

    Laura is fab iwas so sad to see her go i really thought she was going to win!! She was the best but know i want JLS to win!! Astins amazing! i hope that Laura still gets an album out because i would definitely buy it!!!!!! GO LAURA!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and JLS!!) xxx

    Laura has had her chance on X-Factor, although she shouldn't have been voted off. We all know you have a fantastic voice. Your going to go far, you dont need to win the X-Factor. We will all be seeing her again soon.

    No she should not go back she was voted off - My concern is that the rules have gone to the wall anyway - we have a talent show that is more interested in contestants sad stories than they are about talent I mean Rachel for the last two weeks has sang off key and the judges appear to say that is OK - WHAT IS GOING ON with the judges are they frightened of her?

    In my opinion all of the girls, including Laura, have been the best acts this year, although Rachel had a bad week, she came back strong. I was really shocked to see Laura go, as Rachel was far worse that week. However, if all of Laura's fans thought she would sail through without their votes, they only have themselves to blame. You can't rely on others to keep your favourites in, so PICK UP THE PHONE in future to avoid another shock exit.
