Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

Do you think Laura deserves another chance on The X Factor? How would you feel if she was allowed back into the comepetition? Let us know what you think...

i really liked Laura, but, she was voted out, so she should stay out, If you let one back in you will have to let the others, everyone has their favourites and doesn't want to see them go, but that's what it's all about after all!!!!!!!

She is good but if she is let back in then it makes a mockery of the competition....the public put her in the bottom two, where was their support then?.....It's a game show, if she gets a recording contract buy her records to show your support.

I think the public vote should be the only one that counts. If Laura received the lowest amount from the public then fair enough, but if it was Ruth, then she should leave. If the same person keeps on ending up in the bottom two, and the judges keep on saving them, what's the point of voting. The only time the judges should have the final say is if the votes are equal, or give the public another 15 minutes to vote again, like they do on the final. Ruth has been in the bottom two twice now, would be interesting to know if she got the least amount of votes.

If people had wanted laura to stay in they should have voted. I personally didnt like her singing and if she goes back in it makes a mockery of the whole programme

Move on Laura. Those that don't win X Factor tend to do alright in the long run any way! I do think Ruth does portray a passion in her music that none of the other contestants do and it was right that Laura left. Rachel next pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!

yes she does. i am sure there was a conspiracy. for fairness Louis Walsh (who really should leave the show as he is useless as mentor, or panellist) should have let it go to public choice. we should have seen ALL the results - Daniel was far the worst and played on the emotional feelings of people sympathising with him over the death of his wife. Laura was ext good.

laura has been voted of and should not come back. ruth was better in the sing off. if she was that good why was she in the bottom two anyway!

I have been one of her fans but if she comes back, I definitely stop watching X factor. The voting was fair and square, if every one now calling for her reinstatement had voted for her earlier, she wouldn't have been out in the first place. Given her popularity I hope she contests the next edition if there is one, then we can all see to it that she make it to the final at least; wher she deserves to be.
