Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

    I think it was an absolute disgrace that laura was even in the bottom 2 let alone voted off, she is by far the best in the competition and should be brought back immediatley, without question.

    It would be unfair to all previous contestants who, by a PUBLIC vote, or lack of, did not get a second chance. It was fairly judged.

    Its wrong and would make the show an absolute farse, i think she did not deserve to go, but rules are rules. What about the others that were voted off, should they also return???? She will get a record deal and be highly successful, this could damage her future and i know i would no longer support her. Sad if it happens!!!

    Laura is by far a better singer than Daniel - so was Austin - I think it is wrong to keep Daniel - he already has a future as a pub singer or at a push on a cruise ship who in their right mind would say he was any good - there are so many people out there with the same background or indeed worse than his - he should be concentrating on his family - Laura should never have been voted off by Louis, he's sooo bitter - why??? then again don't answer that we all have imaginations...

    YES YOU SHOULD LET HER GO BACK ,SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS ON THERE ,, COME LETS FACE IT SOME OF THEM CAN,T SING TO SAVE THERE LIFES. DIANE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE TO TRY TO SING OR GIVEN HER PLACE UP. ( IT,S ALL FIXED WITH THE PHONE LINES , CAUSE IT AS HAPPENED BEFORE ) HOPE YOU WILL BE BACK THIS SATURDAY .SHE IS A GOOD SINGER ,....

    I thought that Laura's performance last Saturday was not her best. Whilst playing the piano her voice suffered and I think that she was mediocre whilst playing the piano as she had to concentrate on two things. Without the piano the singing improved. Her performance was not mind blowing. I do not think that anyone should have been evicted from the show last week as Diana - for whatever reasons - opted not to sing and effectively opted out of the competition. If it was reasonable for her to be allowed to miss a week, then no-one should have gone last week, but two should go at the next show. So Laura should not have gone - on that basis. (Not on the basis of her performance being better than judged.)

    The X factor is suppsed to be a "Singin" competition not a competition between judges who want to keep their competitor in so it reflects good on them.Laura White and Ruth Lorenzo should not have been in the bottom 2 last week they are 2 of the best singers in this years batch.(I still think Alexandra Burke has the best voice by a mile) The one to go last week should have been Rachel Hylton she looked amateur and out of her depth and her performance was the weakest. I don't think she could be the next chart topper.
