Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?
Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.
Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.
The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.
Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.
More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

She was in the bottom two... so why should she be allowed back? If all these petitioners wanted her to stay in, they should have voted for her when they had the chance.

The hype surrounding her exit is really getting on my nerves. I am sick do death of hearing her name...and I liked her. People will start to get bored of her......there are more important things going on in the news at the moment !!

Theres always one shock exit early on in the show and this is no different. I loved Laura but rules are rules and people should have got behind her and voted in the first place, not scream for her to be back on after they realise the mistake theyve made. I completely agree that there was an element of tactical voting on Louis's part, but then again, Ruth's version of knocking on heavens door was unreal.

She is a great talent but by the time Cowell has finshed with her, she would end up just another short term crooner of second rate ballads. Laura, get away from Cowell whilst the going is good.
