Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

Do you think Laura deserves another chance on The X Factor? How would you feel if she was allowed back into the comepetition? Let us know what you think...

When is a competition fair? Yes she was voted off but Diana was sick and could have been in the last two and been voted out? I know I would have voted to keep laura - she has amazing raw talent - you go for it Laura - i'm sure I can smell a rat going on at the X FACTOR somehow!!

Laura 100% deserves another chance. X factor and Strictly seem to have become somewhat of a joke this series with the contestants with the most talent and putting in the hardest work being booted off early!! It seems that a good percentage of the X factor judges only have their best interests at heart.

Laura should be reinstated, no one should have gone off with diana being ill, they should drop two this week instead, or extend the competition by a week, It is not Diana fault she is ill either

i think neither laura or ruth should have been in the bottom two ! what are the public thinking? the public are listening to the sob stories, we all have a story to tell, but it shouldnt sway peoples decisions, it should be purley on talent, and laura u have talent girl good luck o u x

I agree that if you are out, then you are out and that's it. I would also like to point out to all the 35,000 people who have allegedly signed the petition for her return, that if they had actually voted for her on saturday night in the first place, then maybe none of this would have happened, so they had their chance to keep her, and they clearly didnt, so they should just get over it!
