Could X Factor reject Laura White be about to make a surprise return to the reality show?

Speculation of a comeback has intensified after the singer told a group of fans that they hadn't seen the last of her on X Factor.

Laura said: "Don't worry - I'm going back on the show" when cornered by some admirers in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.

The singer, who was one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor, was voted off Saturday night's show following a sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo.

Judge Louis Walsh had the deciding vote and his decision to get rid of Laura was blasted as tactical by her mentor Cheryl Cole.

More than 35,000 people have now signed a petition to have Laura reinstated in the competition - will X Factor bosses bend the rules and bring her back?

    It was a travesty that Laura went. Did Ruth just stay in for eye candy for Simon?!!!!

    she was voted off and that's it. If she returns, it makes a sham of the whole process. Everyone would then have to be allowed to challenge the judges decision IF they could get a big enough petition. If she gets back on, The X Factor becomes THE SHAM FACTOR

    no as good as she is she shouldnt be allowed back on the show thats the way it go's if ruth had been voted off everyone would have been saying the same i think its a hard show to vote on this year as there is a lot better talent than previous years when you new from the begining who was goin to win. there is only one winner so eventually she would have probably been vote off

    this is really all about money, they collected loads from last weeks phone vote and now they are going to collect again for the same contestants, IE: no one got booted off so they should not have had a vote last week

    This would make an absolute mockery of the show and would certainly seal the fate of Ruth Lorenzo,if i were laura i would say thanks but no thanks,she's gettingplenty of media exposure and if that dont make her a star then nothing will, all you so called voters and loyal fans who are just jumping on the bandwaggon if she was that good and popular ask yourselves why was she in the bottom two in the first place I rest my case
