From today UKTV G2 is renaming itself as Dave. The channel, which describes itself as 'the home of witty banter', shows programmes such as Top Gear, Have I Got News For You and Little Britain. It was renamed Dave 'because everyone knows someone called Dave'.
Is it just a clever publicity stunt to promote the channel's appearance on Freeview or do you think other channels will follow suit and rename themselves after average blokes?

I hate northan monkey programs such as emmerdale, corrie, they are poorfully acted in and terrible viewing, surely something more interested is able to be viewed other that this waste of space, I hate it, I hate it, please remove, happy birthday my arse
