The X Factor is once again at the centre of a controversial row over newspaper claims that Diana Vickers was well enough to appear on last Saturday night's show.
Viewers were told that Diana couldn't perform a song on 'Mariah week' because she was suffering from laryngitis, however, the Daily Mirror has a video of her sounding in good voice during Bonfire Night celebrations - just several days before the show.
This appears to contradict claims made during the programme that she first complained about her voice the pervious Sunday and missed rehearsals because she was confined to her bed all week.
Fans of the series are now speculating that the real reason she missed the show was because she would have struggled to perform a Mariah Carey song.
Diana automatically got through to this week's show while Laura White was voted off in one of the most controversial decisions in X Factor history.
More than 21,000 people have now signed a petition to bring back Laura to the contest. Laura was an early favourite to win the show and blamed her departure on newspaper stories about her lovelife along with tactical voting by the judges.

Sounds like sour grapes, Laura whilst a good singer had an image problem (ie looked terrible, where do they find such hideous outfits?) but most of all a personality problem (ie no personality at all). To waste time in the House of Commons earlier this week discussing the issue shows our MP's are overpaid, underworked and should be made to concentrate on sorting out Gordon Brown's created economy farce.
Posted by: kgroundwater on Wed Nov 12 12:32PM | Report abuseDaniel and Rachel should have been in the bottom two, Daniel is crap and how he ever got through is beyond me, with the talent this country has.... and as for the jailbird she sounded disgusting, she shouldn't have been even given a chance, they threw that poor lass off the other year for bullying at school, and then let a convicted jailbird on the show, they have double standards.... the show should be axed, come on we all know it's a fiddle, I went off it after Ray Quinn got through the other year....he was crap as well..... They already have it cut and dried between them who is gonna win this year, like they do every year.... I wouldn't waste my money voting on the show, and if everyone did the same, the show could not go on.

Laura White should never have went out of X factor - what was the public thinking!!! she is one of the best singers on xfactor and when you take into account performances of Daniel or Rachel i think Laura was the clear winner!!

Ruth should have stayed the song and passion she gave was amazing and her perfomance was the best in her vote out song. Laura never helped herself by going out with someone from the show she should have waited till after the show! Also her father in the press said she was staying single then next with x factor bloke did not help herself. She wil lstil lget a record deal out of this regardless

I cant believe someone(maybe the only one in that pathetic show)playing so well piana(in nowdays, people dont play any instrument) and has a Devine voice to be out , because of some unfair affairs and games among Simon, Cheryl,Dani and L.walsh.Shame..............
