David Duchovny made his TV comeback last night in Five's new US import Californication.

The clue's in the title - this was pretty raunchy stuff, awash with bare breasts and f-words. Duchovny excels as the bed-hopping Hank - the role is probably something of a relief after all those years of unresolved sexual tension between Mulder and Scully in The X Files.

British actress Natascha McElhone is also great as his ex and the 'will they, won't they' plot looks set to be at the heart of this drama as it unfolds.

The series has been likened to a male Sex And The City. What did you think of it?
