The title of the show says it all - Eurovision: Your Decision (Sat, 7pm, BBC1).
Previously called Making Your Mind Up, this year's BBC show to choose the UK's Eurovision entry might as well be called 'don't blame us if the UK doesn't win - you picked the song'.
So, who are this year's hot contenders? In a nutshell, it's a load of reality show also-rans and a couple of bands.
There's X Factor runner-up Andy Abraham, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria finalist Simona Armstrong, Any Dream Will Do finalist Rob McVeigh, Michelle Gayle (last - and only - big hit single - 1994) and a couple of bands, LoveShy and The Revelations.
Not very inspiring, is it? Then again, perhaps viewers in the UK should be consoled by the fact that viewers in Ireland last weekend voted for a turkey to represent them. No, Johnny Logan isn't back - it's a puppet turkey.
Do you think the UK has a chance of winning Eurovision this year? Let us know what you think...

Posted by: a.martin197546 on Sat Mar 01 07:11PM | Report abusei have been watching the eurovision most of my life but the ladt few years i can't stand it if i watch it i only listen to terry and his comment.I have to agree with other people why do we enter it when we know the points will be 0000000. The way i look at it we can't pull out as the bbc put alot of the money into it. our money so why can't we say it is time to pull out

What an absolute wreck and to think they were representing our country! Maybe we should try and make the Eurovision what it used to be with some excitement and real music!
Posted by: sussan.pearson on Mon Mar 03 06:36PM | Report abuseIt's all about politics, everyone knows that! It doesn't matter what the song is like and who sings it! I think we should pull out, it gets more embarrasing every year. If it wasn't for Terry and his comments nobody would tune in anyway.
Posted by: louisejack on Mon Mar 10 10:24AM | Report abuseIsn't it time to pull the plug on this farce? Not just because the UK will never win again (thanks to Eastern European states block voting), but the whole contest covers too many diverse and disperate countries with no cultural on language @#$%ctions what so ever. When did Afghanistan become a European nation? Where will they decide that Eurovision land actually ends.. China?

Posted by: chris.haase on Mon Mar 17 01:50PM | Report abuseIt is a total pointless and waste of TV Broadcasting time. Terry Wogan knows that no European country will vote for the UK because they don`t like our policies. BUT! They all want to live here.
Posted by: johnhannon on Mon Mar 17 02:19PM | Report abuseIt has become a European political comment and no more. They hate us for being "in bed" with the USA. We have to subject our artistes to the ridicule of the world. Cannon fodder. No more.
