It's a Swash Out!

EastEnders' bosses have axed Mickey and Keith Miller from the soap, according to The Sun.

The newspaper reports that actors David Spinx and Joe Swash, who play the father and son, were called into a meeting on Friday and told that their contracts would not be renewed.

Apparently the EastEnders' team feel that the characters have run out of steam.

Mickey first appeared in the BBC soap in 2003 and was joined a year later by his father Keith.

Their departures come just weeks after Rob Kazinsky, who plays Sean Slater, and Mo George, who plays Gus Smith, also revealed they were leaving.

Will you be sad to see Mickey and Keith go? Is EastEnders in danger of losing too many established characters or does it need an injection of fresh blood?

Let us know what you think...

I don't think any of the "Miller" family have had particularly strong stories, not since Demi had the baby. I think Mickey will be missed more than "telly addict" Keith.

yes i agree with Keith going he was rather boring, as the part he played down to the writers I guess. The story lines seem to run to long on some things and it seems people then drag there feet. East enders in my eyes like other soaps have there moments, but is there anyone of them that keeps us on our toes to watch week after week. I have more going on in my life than they do right now .
