The Blair Mitchell Project

Lionel Blair

Get ready for some serious jazz hands in the Queen Vic - Lionel Blair may be heading to Walford!

EastEnders' bosses are said to be lining up the actor and tap-dancer to play the father of Mitchell sisters, Roxy and Ronnie.

In recent months 76-year-old Lionel has enjoyed something of a TV revival with a cameo role in Emmerdale and a part in the last-ever episode of Extras at Christmas.

If Lionel does sign up for EastEnders, he will be following two other recent signings from the world of light entertainment - Bobby Davro and Rustie Lee.

Is it just us or is it all getting a bit Blankety Blank in Albert Square?

Do you think Lionel Blair is a good choice for Roxy and Ronnie's dad? Which other stars would you like to see in EastEnders?

Please do not allow that horrid man on to the set of East Enders, he is so far up his own jackcee he could clean his teeth from the inside. If he comes on the set then I definatly will switch off for good from E E.

janice603, surely there aren't many fledgling actors who are old enough to play the MItchell sister's dad?
