Another day and another Corrie star announces that he is leaving the show.
We're still reeling from the news that Rob James-Collier, who plays Liam Connor, is leaving later this year - and now Tom Hudson (Jack Duckworth's grandson Paul) is also off.
Tom's character will exit in a dramatic storyline which sees him torching Leanne Battersby's restaurant as part of an insurance scam.
The door is being left open for him to return and Tom has hinted that this won't be the last we will see of Paul.
There's still no news on how Liam Connor will leave the show later this year, however, with his wedding to Maria this week and a love triangle with Carla looming, it is bound to be explosive.
Will you be sad to see Rob and Tom leave the show? Which other characters would you like to see the back of?

oh god i will be sad to see liam rob leave he is an absolute hunk i love him please dont go i beg you !!!!!!!!!!!!! its worth tuning in knowing such a hunk is going to be on the screen at least reconsider for my sake!!!!! ha!!!!!!!!! regards lisa beresford

This soap has been running for FAR TOO LONG and the storylines and charecters cease to have any nuance of credibility; it was supposed to reflect life in Manchester but now it could be any anonymous town. Do the decent thing, put it out of it's misery.

Posted by: zorro2a on Sun Feb 10 10:38PM | Report abuseI'd like to see a special hour long episode...Liam runs off with Stacey from Eastenders and then Val from Emmerdale runs over Ken Barlow on a bicycle...all members of the 3 soaps meet in a field somewhere outside Chelmsford and kill each other - then we can hopefully appoint some new controllers, different writers and get some decent telly programmes back after 30 years of shite !
