The celebrity version of Big Brother returned to Channel 4 and E4 last night however, this time the celebrities are on the other side of the camera.
Matt Lucas was the first celeb to take on the role of Big Brother and he also set the first task for the new intake of the 'exceptional' housemates.
The Little Britain star picked on wannabe politican John who could only do and say as Matt told him (via a secret earpiece) as the other housemates entered one by one. What followed was a hilarious and very, very cringeworthy hour as John lied about his talents, slagged off hairstyles, danced a jig and stroked the boys' necks. Was it Matt's intention to turn him into Shahbaz from BB7?
So, what of the new housemates? Well, only a few of them have made any impact so far and that hasn't necessarily been for the right reasons. Fashion designer Jay appeared to have a massive attitude problem as he strutted around the house, while Liam's business waffling and lop-sided hairdo had us bored within seconds. Also, Jeremy demonstrated a complete humour bypass when likened to Harry Potter. Will anyone tell Amy she's a deadringer for Heather Mills?
Of course it's all first impressions at this stage and it'll be interesting to see what the likes of Joan Rivers and Jimmy Carr have in store for this lot.
What did you think of the opening show?

Posted by: danbaggins22 on Mon Jan 07 04:28PM | Report abuseI think that it is stupid to put it first on Channel 4 and then remove it and put in on E4, Not everyone can watch E4 as they do not have cable television. However the actual begging of the show was brilliant. Poor John having to give out back massages and hugs. Bless xx

Posted by: colinlew1s on Mon Jan 07 04:51PM | Report abuseDear me, we really are desperate for TV aren't we. This show is awful and not worthy of airtime. Hoping to drag in viewers by letting "celebrities" control the house gives an indication to how short of decent television the channel is. An absolute bore!
