Soap stars join Dancing On Ice

Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson and former Coronation Street actor Danny Young are the latest celebrities to join Dancing On Ice.

A source told Digital Spy that 23-year-old Kieron is embarking on an intensive training course ahead of the show, which is due to start early next year.

The actor will be following in the footsteps of his former Hollyoaks co-star Chris Fountain, who finished second in the 2008 series.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Danny Young, who played Mike Baldwin's grandson in Corrie, has been rehearsing with the other celebs under the watchful eye of Jayne Torvill.

The other stars taking part in the new series include EastEnders' Danniella Westbrook, pop singer Sinitta, Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills, ex-Eternal singer Kelle Bryan and Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana.

Also getting their skates on are Holby City's Jeremy Sheffield, ex-England goalkeeper Peter Shilton and The Inbetweeners' actress Emily Atack.

Earlier this year, the programme's host Phillip Schofield said he couldn't believe some of the names taking part. He said: "It's a great line-up. When I went down the list there were two or three times I went, 'Oh my God, you're serious'."
