Ant and Dec are being sued by an American comedian for using his name in the US.

American star Ant has launched a multi-million pound lawsuit over claims that he is losing work because of confusion with the British stars.

He also says that the pair's involvement in shows caught up in the phone-in scandals will damage his reputation.

US Ant presents the American version of Celebrity Fit Club and also appears on Jay Leno's Tonight Show. His lawyers have said that if Ant and Dec had stated that they were involved in comedy, when they applied to use their names in the US, they would not have been allowed to appear on TV.

Ant and Dec went to the US earlier this year to present the ABC quiz show Wanna Bet?

US Ant has asked a court in Boston to halt the duo's work in the States and award him £16million in compensation.

Perhaps this is a chance for Ant and Dec to rebrand themselves in the US? Can you think of any suggestions? Or should they revert back to PJ and Duncan? Let us know what you think...

    How will he know which one is which? Surely they can just swap places and he will be none he wiser. I'm sure they are nice lads but they usually hosts Reality TV shows and as a family we refuse to watch that drivel. Typical US culture of litigation though...complete joke..forgive the pun!

    This American Ant, Can't be the only Ant in tv, radio, stage, or comdey, Americans love suing & this should be thrown out of Court by The Judge.
