Soaps preview: 26 - 30 October

Coronation Street

Events finally catch up with Corrie killer Tony Gordon this week when he collapses on the cobbles and is rushed to hospital.

Last week's return of Carla appears to have been the last nail in the coffin (literally) for the under pressure businessman and it's Roy - of all people - who comes to his aid.

When Roy finds Tony lying in the street he calls an ambulance and in Maria's absence accompanies him to the hospital.

It soon becomes clear that Maria is not contactable so Roy does the decent thing and stays with Tony - much to Tony's initial annoyance.

When the doctors tell Tony that he may not make it through the night, he calls Roy to his bedside and confesses that he was behind Liam's death. A startled Roy then looks on as Tony flatlines and the doctors battle to save him...

Also this week, Rosie and Sally clash in the factory and someone finds out about Molly and Kevin's affair.

EastEnders

Jack Branning unwittingly finds himself caught up in Archie's dangerous plot to bring down the Mitchell clan this week.

Jack finds himself involved after Archie spots him smooching with Sam and decides to use the information to his advantage.

Archie suggests to Jack that he should run away from Walford for good with Sam. But, of course, he isn't thinking about the pair's future happiness.

He makes the suggestion because he knows that if Sam leaves, the Mitchells will have to repay her bond and will be left penniless.

Will Jack go along with his plan?

Also this week, the blackmailer steps up the campaign against Syed and Ian and Jane row over the adoption.

Emmerdale

Carl King and Charity Tate form a dangerous alliance this week as they plot to get their hands on Cain's fortune.

They find themselves thrown together when Charity catches Carl breaking into Debbie's house to search for the key to Cain's storage facility, where he believes the Dingle is keeping the money he got from the King family.

Carl is surprised when Charity doesn't immediately tell Cain and Debbie what he was up to, but instead suggests that they team up in a bid to get the money.

They decide that the best way of tricking Cain is for Charity to pretend she is in love with him again and then find out the information she needs when his defences are down.

We really don't think they're going to be able to pull this one off...

Also this week, Edna is left shaken by an attack on her home and Nathan blackmails Leyla.
