As massive Ab Fab fans, we have to admit that we were quite let down by Jennifer Saunders' last sitcom Jam And Jerusalem, which was just a bit too gentle comedy (i.e low on laughs) for our liking.
So hopes are high for The Life And Times Of Vivienne Vyle, which stars Jennifer as a talkshow host, and kicks off on BBC2 tonight at 9pm.
Watch a preview clip, featuring Fern Britton, on our TV clips page and let us know if you'll be tuning in...

Gentle, this ain't. As someone who used to work on one of those shows... it's a choice between laughing, crying, and gasping. It's a distillation, it's a month's worth of incidents packed into 30 minutes, but it's the truth...
Posted by: radicalbunny on Thu Oct 04 09:53PM | Report abuseWell I guess most TV is a slice of life compacted into a few minutes...but this was GOOD. Vivienne had guts, shallowness, envy and most of all, the mind to lock horns and take on a Consultant Psychiatrist and come out of it standing! We all knew American Talk show hosts were crazy...but little did we know the ones over here were silently insane....good episode!

The quicker the public has it's fill of them, the better off we all will be. Love anything Jennifer Saunders does, and this will probably be looked upon in 5 years time the way Ab Fab is revered today!
