Coronation Street's Jack Duckworth and EastEnders' Sam Mitchell

This week, Sam Mitchell returns to EastEnders, Jack prepares to depart Coronation Street and Cain Dingle appears to have met his match in Emmerdale. Find out more...

EastEnders

Sam Mitchell makes a shock return this week - and it's fair to say that not everyone is pleased to see her.

Sam, who was last seen fleeing Walford in 2005 following Den Watts' murder, makes her return with Ricky, who Phil had sent out to Rio to give her some money.

Sam's mum Peggy is delighted to see her but Phil is furious, as she is still wanted by the police in connection with the murder, and he orders her to stay out of sight.

However, before long Sam is downstairs in the pub dancing on the table and, by the end of the week, her and Ricky have a shock announcement that will devastate Bianca.

And if you're thinking that Sam looks a bit different to the last time you saw her, that's because original actress Danniella Westbrook is back playing the role for the first time in almost ten years. Kim Medcalf took in 2002 and played Sam until her exit from the soap in 2005. Certainly not the first time a soap has switched the actor playing one of the roles!

Also this week, Chelsea has a windfall and Lucas is wanted for questioning.

Coronation Street

It's the end of an era in Weatherfield this week as Jack prepares to pack up and move out of Coronation Street.

Jack makes the momentous decision after Connie asks him to move in to her larger home - though first he faces the difficult task of breaking the news to Tyrone.

You would think Tyrone would be glad of having a bit more room at No.9 and at the thought of getting rid of that stinking pigeon coop, but instead, Tyrone is anxious that Connie may be a gold-digger who is after Jack's money. What money?

In an attempt to smooth things over, Connie invites Tyrone and wife Molly to come round to her house to have tea and see where Jack is moving to. Will Jack leave Corrie with Tyrone's blessing?

Also this week, Jason is the surprise winner of Mr Gay Weatherfield and Peter decides to go and find Leanne.

Emmerdale

Has Cain Dingle finally met his match? It's certainly looking that way as Faye continues to play hard to get for the hardman's affections.

The week starts with Faye finally agreeing to go for a drink with the Dingle after weeks of knockbacks. She gives in after hearing that he has given her son Ryan a bonus at work.

After a few drinks, things seem to be going well between the pair and the evening ends with Cain accompanying her back to her house.

However, when he tries to take things further after a lingering kiss, she tells him to leave and he is left as confused as ever about where he stands with her.

So, what exactly is Faye up to? Well, it seems she's using Cain in order to make Mark jealous and - guess what - it's working. But is she playing with fire?

Also this week, Paddy wrecks the surgery after finding out about Chastity's betrayal and new family the Sharmas arrive in the village.

Why on earth would they give give Danni Westbrook a second chance. Her disgusting drugs habbit should have finished her off in showbiz, she will never be rid of the stigma attached to that and nor should she be.....minger ! Bless our Jack Duckworth....wont be the same without him....he's made us laugh and cry....we love you Jack...Bye mate!!
