David and Gail in Coronation Street

This week, David is beaten up in Coronation Street, Bianca, Dot and Ronnie have some tough decisions to make in EastEnders and Val packs her bags and heads to the airport in Emmerdale. Find out more...

Coronation Street

Weatherfield's bad boy David Platt finally gets what's coming to him this week when he is beaten up by a mystery assailant.

Gail is shocked when her son turns up on the doorstep covered in blood and viewers will be left guessing at just who exactly is responsible. Let's be honest, we are hardly not short of suspects.

Firstly, there's David's ex Tina who is on the warpath after her charm bracelet goes missing and she thinks that David has taken it. Jason is also angry with David after finding out that he has harrassed his girlfriend and Tina's dad has a thousand reasons to punch Gail's wayward son.

Then there's Gail herself - perhaps David has finally pushed her too far and she has teamed up with his gran Audrey to give him a good hiding? Tune in this week to see how it all develops...

Elsewhere, it looks like it could be 'ta-ra' to the Websters as Sally and Kevin go house-hunting in Chesire.

It's greasy mechanic Kevin who suggests moving away as he realises it's the only way he will be able to cool the passion between himself and Tryone's missus Molly.

The ever-aspirational Sally is thrilled at the idea, however, Molly is less than keen on the idea of Kevin leaving for good. Will she be able to convince him to hang around?

Also this week, Ramsay reveals that he is planning to return to Australia and the McDonalds prepare to say goodbye.

EastEnders

They say that a problem shared is a problem halved and that's definitely what Dot, Ronnie and Bianca are hoping for this week in Albert Square.

The three women find themselves thrown together in the Queen Vic in a special episode that sees them facing up to difficult decisions in their lives.

For Dot, it's am offer of retirement from the laundrette coupled with Jim's imminent return to Walford which has her pondering her own future. Put your feet up woman - you're in your 80s!

Bianca, meanwhile, is facing up to rejection from Al and frustratingly is still refusing to own up to her true feelings for ex-love Ricky. Take our advice and nab him now Bianca before Sam's return!

As for Ronnie, well, she has given married lover Joel an ultimatum to choose between her and his wife and family - much to the horror of sister Roxy. Run Joel while you still can!

Well, that's what we think but Will a half hour together in the pub really be enough to help these three pick themselves up and do the right thing? We're not convinced.

Also this week, Minty is shocked when he finds out the truth about Phil and Dawn and Libby and Tamwar get their exam results.

Emmerdale

Val makes a momentous decision this week as she packs her bags for Australia and leaves Emmerdale for good. Or does she?

The schemer finds her marriage is in ruins after she makes a move on Rodney in an attempt to keep him away from her sister Diane and Pollard finds out. Sickened by her latest scheme, Pollard tells her that he wants a divorce and Val vows to leave the village.

Diane is shocked when Val tells her that she wants to sell her share in The Woolpack and fails to talk her out of going to live Down Under with her son Paul.

It's only when Val leaves that Pollard realises he can't live without her but when it gets to the airport it's already too late.

Though perhaps Val hasn't gone as far as he thinks she has...

Elsewhere in the village, Bob is shocked when he finds out that romance is blossoming between Gennie and his son Jamie.

Jamie, of course, isn't aware that Bob had a fling with Gennie while Viv was still in prison so he doesn't suspect anything when his dad tries to get him to back off.

Bob goes on to accuse Gennie of leading his son on - but could he still have feelings of his own for her?

Also this week, John is arrested for assault and Paddy is worried that Chas will get back together with Carl.

a lot of crap- get some decent script writers to give our fine actors a chance. ps. a giant tidal wave to clean away the bloody DINGLES- that stupid PADDY- the idiotic VAL- that pointless new family whats their name ??. EASTENDERS story lines ?? comments UNPRINTABLE - audiences dwindling. the only sensible story lines in CORRIE [ some of the time] not that stupid OVERACTING new bride[keep her in jail]- get rid of that idiot butcher and even more idiotic assistant. ill write you some good storylines.

If Emmerdale does not win the drama award this year with the Hospital scene, then I feel they are robbed. Ben
