Hopes are high for new comedy series We Are Klang, which launches tonight at 10.30pm on BBC3.
Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the new show is the offspring of traditional sitcom and cutting-edge live comedy.
The comedy is set in the fictional Klangbury council offices, from where three loser-heroes – Councillor Greg, supposed Deputy Mayor; Councillor Steve, Health and Safety; and Councillor Marek, Minister without Portfolio – unleash their unfathomable incompetence across this once functioning town.
In the opening episode, the bungling trio dance with disaster as the town goes up in flames. In the absence of the recently disbanded fire department, and with the council budget totalling a pitiful £1, the boys need to pull out all the stops to save their jobs.

Having watched the clip, thats quite enough for me. I have seen funnier childrens entertainers blowing up balloons. If this is the way of new comedy, lets just not bother. Give me 30 year old re runs of Fawlty Towers anytime.
