Big Brother's Sree 'slashes his wrists'

Former Big Brother housemate Sree Dasari was reportedly rushed to hospital last week after slashing his wrists.

He allegedly became upset while watching Big Brother at his student accomodation and paramedics were called in the early hours of Friday, reports The Sun.

There was no suggestion of a suicide bid and he was well enough to appear on Big Brother's Big Mouth on Friday evening.

Channel 4 later arranged for him to be cared for by one of the show's pyschologists for the rest of the weekend.

A spokesperson for the channel told the paper: "Housemates' welfare is of paramount importance. There is a well-established after-care system in place for all housemates.

"Sree continues to be given ongoing support by the production team and regular access to the show's psychologist."

Sree was the fourth housemate to be evicted from this year's Big Brother. The current series is the least watched in the show's history with an average of just two million viewers.
