Harry Hill 'to quit ITV for Sky'

Harry Hill's hugely popular TV Burp series could be moving from ITV to Sky after he was offered a massive pay deal by the broadcaster.

Sky has offered to pay £400,000 an episode for the show - which is double what ITV currently spends on it, reports The Sun.

The extra money would see Hill's personal fee for presenting increase to as much as £80,000, making him one of Sky's highest-paid stars.

A source told the paper: "Sky have tried to get Harry twice before and it looks like it could be third time lucky. They are telling Harry they'd turn him into one of the faces of the channel. It's extremely tempting."

Harry Hill's TV Burp has grown from cult hit to massive prime-time success since first launching on ITV back in 2001.

The show has won three BAFTAs and the most recent series pulled in audiences of up to eight million.

Do you think Harry should move from ITV to Sky? Will you still be tuning in if the show is on a different channel? Let us know...

Most of the people I know don't have Sky or will in the future. Almost all are Hill fans. Shame he's going and I'm afraid he'll lose a big fan base. Hope it works for him but...hey, could he not take Norton with him?

what a waste of money! This man is not funny. Get him off the screens asap & get some talented comedian instead there are dozens out there but Mr Hill is bottom of the pile. MJ
