Fans of Doctor Who have been given their first glimpse of the Time Lord's brand new outfit after pictures were released from the set of the new series.
Matt Smith is seen wearing a tweed jacket, bow tie, rolled up trousers and black boots as he begins filming as the 11th Doctor.
Meanwhile, Karen Gillan, who plays his companion, wears a pair of Converse trainers (see pic below) which may or may not be a nod to the departing Doctor, played by David Tennant.
26-year-old Smith is the youngest actor ever to land the lead role in the long-running BBC sci-fi series.
Arriving on set for the first day of filming, he said: "I feel very privileged and proud to be part of this iconic show. The scripts are brilliant - I'm excited about the future and all the brilliant adventures I get to go on as the Doctor."

New lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat added: "Matt and Karen are going to be incredible, and Doctor Who is going to come alive on Saturday nights in a whole new way."
