Ross blasts rival Norton's show

Jonathan Ross has hit out at Graham Norton's latest TV series, claiming that it is 'not good enough'.

The presenter made the comments during his Radio 2 show at the weekend.

Ross said that there are no longer enough quality entertainers on TV to match the likes of The Two Ronnies. He said: "What have we got on TV over the weekend? We had Graham Norton's Totally Saturday.

"Well, that's not good enough. Poor Graham, I feel for him watching that show. It makes even that series John Barrowman was in look like a work of genuis."

Jonathan Ross is the BBC's highest-paid presenter, raking in £18 million over three years, while Graham Norton is the second highest earner with £7.4 million over three years, reports the Daily Mirror.

Norton's Saturday night show has struggled in the ratings and last week's programme was watched by just 2.9 million viewers.

Later this year Graham Norton's chat show will transfer from BBC Two to BBC One, home of Ross's Friday night series.

Do you think Jonathan Ross's comments were justified? Have you see Totally Saturday? What do you think of it? Let us know...

They're both morons---nothing that either of them do can be classed as entertainment.

I watched the first night of Graham Norton's show on Saturdays...I suppose after watching John Baroman's show which was really excellent Graham's show seemed a complete disaster too much of everything and really nothing at all.....Graham is usually excellent but that certainly was not his kind of show...

At least Graham is funny. Jonathan might spend fantastic amounts of money on clothes, perhaps he should get a hair cut and stop looking like a complete dawk. How can somebody with a lisp as a tv presenter get paid so much money is beyond me!!

I quite enjoyed John Barrowman's show but nothing has kept me watching Graham's, so I agree. And please, stop with the Ross/ Brand Andrew Sachs talk. Get over it. Most young people like me saw the funny side at least.

Jonathon Ross is so far up his own a***. He is full of self importance. And should have been fired months ago, after his phone comment earlier this yr. The man is talentless, and not in the least funny.

How can Ross dare say that another performer's show is not good enough when he himself turns out so much rubbish? Neither, in my opinion, has any real talent - certainly to justify these sorts of salaries paid with, what is in effect, my licence fee. They don't dance, sing or tell (funny) jokes. Their humour is based mainly on sarcasm and personal criticism and no doubt written for them. Neither is exactly attractive; Ross with his unkempt hair and Norton with his awful affected laugh. Ugh!! What happened to real entertainers? The fact that these two command so much air time with the attendant publicity just shows how much standards have fallen in British broadcasting and the BBC in particular.
