EastEnders
Things get so bad for Heather this week that she decides to terminate her pregnancy.
Her shock decision comes after her sham marriage to Minty is annulled in court. Heather knew the marriage would have to be written off eventually but it is still a terrible blow to her as he is the love of her life.
To make matters worse, the judge asks if the marriage has been consumated and Minty tells him that he never found Heather attractive.
Although Minty and Heather decide to keep news of the annullment to themselves, the secret comes out later that evening during Dawn's birthday party in the Queen Vic.
Heather is ashamed that everyone knows and, as she hits rock bottom, she makes the decision to end her pregnancy. Will she go through with it?
Elsewhere, there is bizarre behaviour in the Square as Roxy dresses up as her sister Ronnie and makes a move on Jack!
The classy Mitchell gets so drunk at Dawn's party that she ends up collapsing in a pool of her own vomit. Jack does the honourable thing and helps her to bed but is in for a shock when Roxy, vomit still in hair, makes a pass at him. We told you she was classy.
Jack politely declines her offer and she doesn't even remember about it the next day. However, Jack decides to remind her about it and, when he says she is not as sophisticated as her sister, it hits a nerve and she vows to seduce him.
One make-over later, Roxy sets off in Ronnie's clothes and perfume to see Jack. Will it be a case of second time lucky?
Also this week, Pat warns Amira about Janine and Bradley tells Syd that he wants her to move in.
Emmerdale
There's tragedy for Lexi this week when she loses her baby.
Lexi, of course, had been much more excited about the prospect of starting a family than husband Carl so she panics when she suffers severe stomach pains.
She later collapses and is rushed to hospital where she has to undergo emergency surgery and when she wakes up Carl tells her the news about the baby.
Lexi is distraught and Carl stays at the hospital to comfort her. However, the following day his mood changes and she realises that he doesn't want to be around her. What has made him change his mind?
Meanwhile, Chastity's son Aaron goes out of his way to ruin his mum's relationship with village vet Paddy.
As Paddy's 40th birthday approaches, he decides the time is right to propose to Chastity and, despite words of caution from Marlon, he plans to do it at his party.
Determined to get his speech just right, Paddy writes out several versions of what he is going to say to Chastity. But it all backfires when Aaron gets his hands on the paper and embarasses him in front of everyone by reading it out at the birthday bash.
Paddy feels humiliated by Aaron's actions and there is little comfort from what Chastity has to say. Has Aaron succeeded in derailing their relationship?
Also this week, Mark's hurt by Natasha's revelation and Andy loses the farm.
Coronation Street
We've said before that soap births can never take place on maternity wards. Oh no, that would be far too boring. So it's no surprise this week when Maria goes into labour... on the beach.
Yes, after what feels like the longest pregnancy in soap history, Maria's baby finally arrives while she is in the middle of nowhere with Tony - the man who had her husband killed!
As soon as she realises she is having contractions, Maria panics and Tony tries to phone for help. But there is no phone reception and it soon becomes clear that the new arrival isn't prepared to wait.
Tony is forced to deliver the baby and the experience brings the pair even closer. Is their friendship about to become something more?
Meanwhile, Rosie Webster is continuing to spend her windfall at an alarming rate and her parents are in for a shock this week when a flash new sports car appears outside their house. What a shame that she can't actually drive!
Kevin is angry when he sees the car so heaven knows how he'll react when he finds out that she's also bought a share in the factory.
It remains to be seen though whether Rosie has made the right decision by investing in the business. She may have had aspirations to become the new Carla but Luke insists she return to her old job as his PA. Will she give in to his demands?
Also this week, David gets jealous after he spots Tina and Jason in the Rovers and Molly and Kevin share a kiss.
