An X Factor contestant has reportedly threatened to kill herself after failing an audition for the show.
The woman, who was in her 50s, became hysterical after getting a 'no' from all four judges at a recording in London earlier this week, reports The Sun.
A witness told the paper: "She ran off, shouting that she was going to commit suicide. The producers ran after her. An hour and a half later they were still making sure she was OK."
The distressed contestant visited the show's doctor the morning after her audition and they were satisfied that she was feeling better about the situation.
This is the first year that the X Factor production team have had a doctor on standby at the auditions. It's believed they decided to have a medic on the set following Susan Boyle's meltdown on Britain's Got Talent.
There is added pressure for this year's contestants as the auditions are being held in front of a live audience.
Do you think shows like The X Factor put hopefuls under too much pressure? Is enough being done to help those who don't make it through? Let us know what you think...

I agree with Choagy!! I also think people should go through psychological screening before being allowed to audition, year after year I watch "care in the community" cases auditioning, and getting taken the mickey out of by whoever is presenting the Xtra factor! By the way, does anyone know where I can get a free games console of my choice!?!?!?! LOL x
