It's a sad day for fans of chat shows everywhere with the news that ITV has reportedly binned off Katie And Peter: Unleashed.

According to The Sun, the show won't be returning to ITV2 in the Autumn after complaints from both viewers and guests.

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger had said it was the most ridiculous show she had been on, while Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd said it was crude.

The series mixed a chat show format with behind-the-scenes footage of the pair preparing for the interviews and talking about their sex lives.

Despite having their chat show canned, Katie and Peter are expected to continue to work with ITV as part of a golden handcuffs deal and a new fly-on-the-wall series is expected later this year.

    cant beleive they r gettin rid-i love katie+peter-there r far worse shows on tv. I love cin celebs cringe when asked awkward Qs!! Much more fun than other chat shows!! Although I must say presentin dont @#$% natural 2either of them!!!!

    katie and peter are so good normal people who share their life with us and some people take them the wrong way. i have a son who has a disability too and i know what they are going through,and i think they are good parents i love peter is so loveable romantic loves kid like i do,from shirley wakefield from dover kent

    i like em, they are a down to earth couple, and yeah they have rows n such and enjoy a good sex life but who doesnt?!?! katie and peter are a normal couple and are showing people that even though they are famous, they are still humans!
