It's a sad day for fans of chat shows everywhere with the news that ITV has reportedly binned off Katie And Peter: Unleashed.

According to The Sun, the show won't be returning to ITV2 in the Autumn after complaints from both viewers and guests.

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger had said it was the most ridiculous show she had been on, while Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd said it was crude.

The series mixed a chat show format with behind-the-scenes footage of the pair preparing for the interviews and talking about their sex lives.

Despite having their chat show canned, Katie and Peter are expected to continue to work with ITV as part of a golden handcuffs deal and a new fly-on-the-wall series is expected later this year.

    yes i watch the show frequently, and i find it very entertaining, pete seems a bit f a sex on the brain addict and katie can appear a bit of a diva and seem ungrateful and i have to say my life wont end if its not on tv but i do find it quite good, and 1000 times better than the other @#$% shows like big boring brother!!!

    thank god i only watch 10 mins and i'm bored of the pair of them, katies comments on petes knob, and pete whinging about how moody katie is! the pair of them need their heads banging together, their boring attention seekers and they need to get a life!

    I hated it but i think it's stupid stopping it just because a couple of stupid viewers complain. It's unfair on everyone else!

    I secretly njoy the Next Chapter as it's an insight into what they're like. She's a #&$%ing handful (excuse the pun) and he's a lazy @#$% njoying her dosh. Soooo annoying how he has to keep asserting his masculinity to the camera - bit insecure there Pete? Their chat show was bum-clenchingly awful & the has-been guests made it so sad! What were they thinking???
