It's a sad day for fans of chat shows everywhere with the news that ITV has reportedly binned off Katie And Peter: Unleashed.

According to The Sun, the show won't be returning to ITV2 in the Autumn after complaints from both viewers and guests.

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger had said it was the most ridiculous show she had been on, while Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd said it was crude.

The series mixed a chat show format with behind-the-scenes footage of the pair preparing for the interviews and talking about their sex lives.

Despite having their chat show canned, Katie and Peter are expected to continue to work with ITV as part of a golden handcuffs deal and a new fly-on-the-wall series is expected later this year.

    i love the show they put plenty of other rubbish on the screens for viewers maybe some of them should be binned, every one has an opinion if you dont like it then dont watch it, but i will surely miss it!!

    Is this the beginning of the end for inane 'celebrities' with zero talent being paid ridiculous money to display their ignorance. The immorality of rewarding non-talent while real talent stuggles for recognition is a reflection of modern society

    i love the way people come on here some that never even watched the show and make really stupid comments..they seem like really down to earth people in my opinion...they remind me of my wife and i though...she bosses me about ;)

    I will be sad to see the show end as Katie and Peter are down to earth and say what they think. They bring a breath of fresh air to entertainment. I think they are a wonderful couple and wish them all the best in any further ventures.
