It's a sad day for fans of chat shows everywhere with the news that ITV has reportedly binned off Katie And Peter: Unleashed.

According to The Sun, the show won't be returning to ITV2 in the Autumn after complaints from both viewers and guests.

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger had said it was the most ridiculous show she had been on, while Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd said it was crude.

The series mixed a chat show format with behind-the-scenes footage of the pair preparing for the interviews and talking about their sex lives.

Despite having their chat show canned, Katie and Peter are expected to continue to work with ITV as part of a golden handcuffs deal and a new fly-on-the-wall series is expected later this year.

    I love the show and think it's absolutely ridi@#$%us that it has been binned. The couple are just being their selves and its nice to see that they are just like all us normal people unlike Nicole who is so stuck up she has her head stuck up her own bum

    I shant be sad to see it go, all they talk about is sex like a pair of loved up teenagers and crude with it, do we really want to know all that, I think not

    i love this programme and both katie and peter but i have got fed up with seeing the way she treats and speaks to him sometimes if that was my husband he would have been long gone by now i do feel sorry for him sometimes because they are both lovely people
