It's a sad day for fans of chat shows everywhere with the news that ITV has reportedly binned off Katie And Peter: Unleashed.

According to The Sun, the show won't be returning to ITV2 in the Autumn after complaints from both viewers and guests.

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger had said it was the most ridiculous show she had been on, while Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd said it was crude.

The series mixed a chat show format with behind-the-scenes footage of the pair preparing for the interviews and talking about their sex lives.

Despite having their chat show canned, Katie and Peter are expected to continue to work with ITV as part of a golden handcuffs deal and a new fly-on-the-wall series is expected later this year.

    Oh what a sad and lonely existence we must lead to watch this rubbish. To also think that actually some people will model their own lives on them! Umhh I would rather watch Jeremy Kyle and the fine pick of our nations finest at odds. I know they say it is tongue in cheek but come on ITV how much do they cost?

    The show wasn't the best, but if it was THE NEXT CHAPTER getting binned!!! I would be very upset as I think it's fab I love watching it and they are great parents also!!!!!! :~)

    they are both just a gimic,people will do anything for publicity,are they only doing it for the money,who care about these fake sad people who need to come back to the real world.

    I actually thought it was quite good... if i had to choose between posh and becks and katie and peter.. i would katie and peter . (without a dought). I just wish people would stop hating so much and give them a chance.
