No makeover for Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle

Amanda Holden says that she won't let Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle undergo a makeover.

The talent show judge said that the singer would be 'spoilt' if she was to unveil a glamorous new look.

Amanda told the Daily Mirror: "She needs to stay exactly as she is because that's the reason we love her. She just looks like anybody who could live on your street.

"The minute we turn her into a glamour-puss is when it's spoilt. I think it's the underdog thing. It's somebody who's looked after her mother all her life. She's had real dreams, real aspirations and obviously she thought she'd had to say goodbye to those things."

Susan has become a household name across the world following last Saturday's appearance on the ITV talent show. A video of her performance has been viewed more than 16 million times online, making it one of the most watched internet videos of all time.

The 47-year-old, who has been nicknamed the 'Hairy Angel', has already appeared on several TV shows in the US and Oprah Winfrey is reportedly in talks to speak to her.

Her widespread fame has also led to a range of merchandise going on sale including bumper stickers and T-shirts saying 'I've kissed Susan Boyle'.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has told GMTV viewers that Susan is not a dead cert to win this year's Britain's Got Talent. When asked about her overnight success he said: "There are some acts that you haven't seen yet, it's not quite the one horse race you are going to think this is."

He also refused to confirm reports that he will offer her a record deal, whether or not she wins the series, and said it was difficult to say at this stage because he had to treat it as a competition.

Do you think this year's Britain's Got Talent is a one horse race? Should Susan undergo a makeover? Vote in our poll and let us know what you think...

I think that the 'makeover' should incorporate her hair getting styled and dyed, and maybe a touch of makeup, but I don't want her to lose her identity and become someone that isn't true to her. She should only have a makeover if SHE wants one!

I don't thik she needs a makeover - her voice speaks for itself. I do think, though, that she needs to learn how to behave. She's embarrassingly silly.

I think someone should give her some beauty treatment on her facial hair because so many people were laughing at her. She also looked after her sick mother and deserves and little bit of a pamper for all her hard work.

Not a full makeover... just a little waxing and a bottle of conditioner is all that is needed! Stay natural(ish...)
