In today's most surprising TV news, it's been revealed that Dermot O'Leary will present E4's Big Brother spin-off in January.

Dermot's been confirmed as host of the live shows of Celebrity Hijack, which will see celebrities take on the role of Big Brother while a group of 18 to 21-year-olds occupy the house.

We'd assumed that now Dermot has hit the TV big time as host of The X Factor (and isn't he doing well?) that he would be cutting his ties with Big Brother.

It's unclear yet whether Dermot will host Big Brother's Little Brother next summer, however, Davina McCall will be returning to host the ninth series. Well, with most of her non-Big Brother projects, including that BBC chat show, failing to win over viewers we guess she won't be going anywhere for a while yet!

Do you think Dermot is right to return to Big Brother presenting duties or is it time to move on?

    I think yes he should come back and present bblb (big brothers little brother) next year big brother 9 starts! next summer of 2008. PS i think they should put prevoius bb winners back in the house e.g like brian dowling, pete bennet and nadia back in.

    i think he should be presenting the live shows get rid of davina shes past her sell by date she talks like a baby i think her time is up now.
