Michael fired... at last!

Michael Sophocles

If you'd have opened your window last night at about 9.55pm you'd have heard the sound of cheering across the land as Michael Sophocles was FINALLY given his marching orders in The Apprentice.

Michael seemed to get 'one last chance' from Sir Alan every single week and managed to wriggle off the hook from all sorts of disastrous tasks - from cheating over the tennis rackets to the kosher chicken debacle!

Last night's boardroom was real edge of the seat stuff - with at one point it looking like Helene was going to be sacked. Sir Alan quite rightly pointed out that we haven't seen much of Helene during the ten weeks of the show - what exactly does she do? His character assassination of her though did feel a bit too harsh - anyone else agree? We do feel that her card has been well and truly marked and it will take a minor miracle if she is not next to go.

And where has it all gone wrong with Lucinda? Only a couple of weeks ago we were rooting for her to win the series but last night she once again seemed more interested in sabotaging the task for team leader Lee than helping out. Her efforts at selling were pitiful and she was preoccupied with getting recognition for her contribution. Can she redeem herself next week?

Lee, Alex and Claire all had a very good week and these three now look like the ones to beat. Claire has really got her act together and is even managing to keep her mouth shut in the boardroom. Could she end up the surprise winner?

What did you think of last night's show? Should Sir Alan have sacked more than one person? Who do you think will win?

My partner and I are avid fans of The Apprentice and thank god Michael has now gone - I was cheering! Although young, he has shown no good qualities and I don't quite know what Sir Alan saw in him but at least the Boss has seen the light. I would like Claire to win - lee is a bit rough and ready and Alex is a snake in the grass and would quite easily stab anyone in the back to get what he wants. Cant wait for next weeks show - i think Helene will go next. Claire will get to the final if she keeps her head down and her mouth shut!

Gosh, this guy was really annoying. And of course that Raef guy with his immitations of characters from 'Goodness Gracious Me'. So annoyed was with Michael Sophocles, the 'good Jewish guy' who contradicted himself by saying that he is Machiavelic and 'would sell anything', when what you discovered is he is a simply deluded young guy with no experience but a pathetic big mouth. At the end of the day, they are all pathetic and when you think, these guys are the future Managers of UK institutions, it makes you wonder where this country is going to!

Funny-but lately I keep hearing from those who are left in the house that they have limited sales skills. Fancy going for a job, which is televised around the world, hyped and sexed up, with no skills. No wonder some of them come across as dodo's, I think they could have at least gained some experience before going on this kind of show. When Michael revealed that he has only sold space for advertisements, and has all along said he is hot as a salesperson. I thought what a dodo!

Spot on. In fact it seemed to me that Michael was going to be given every excuse under the sun by Sir Alan, and we can only surmise at the reasons. In my opinion Helen was set to go, but Sir Alan's comments and clear prejudice were so overt that someone probably had to tell him how it was coming across.

I really don't care - I just want it all to be over so I don't have to suffer any more of that dreadful drivel whilst having dinner with the wife! The Apprentice for normal people who get their hands dirty and do honest work for honest pay ... now that might not make much of a TV programme for viewing, but would give AMS a much choice of candidates.

Michael should have been fired weeks ago, he is so pathetic. He is a preacher and a beggar rather than a sales person.
