Michael fired... at last!

Michael Sophocles

If you'd have opened your window last night at about 9.55pm you'd have heard the sound of cheering across the land as Michael Sophocles was FINALLY given his marching orders in The Apprentice.

Michael seemed to get 'one last chance' from Sir Alan every single week and managed to wriggle off the hook from all sorts of disastrous tasks - from cheating over the tennis rackets to the kosher chicken debacle!

Last night's boardroom was real edge of the seat stuff - with at one point it looking like Helene was going to be sacked. Sir Alan quite rightly pointed out that we haven't seen much of Helene during the ten weeks of the show - what exactly does she do? His character assassination of her though did feel a bit too harsh - anyone else agree? We do feel that her card has been well and truly marked and it will take a minor miracle if she is not next to go.

And where has it all gone wrong with Lucinda? Only a couple of weeks ago we were rooting for her to win the series but last night she once again seemed more interested in sabotaging the task for team leader Lee than helping out. Her efforts at selling were pitiful and she was preoccupied with getting recognition for her contribution. Can she redeem herself next week?

Lee, Alex and Claire all had a very good week and these three now look like the ones to beat. Claire has really got her act together and is even managing to keep her mouth shut in the boardroom. Could she end up the surprise winner?

What did you think of last night's show? Should Sir Alan have sacked more than one person? Who do you think will win?

Everyone in my house cheered when Michael went last night, he is the most useless person on the face of the planet and it's truly a miracle that he was not fired weeks ago. I did think that he should have fireed Helen as well though, whats the point in keeping someone who you see no use for?

About time too - I still can't believe this POS "nice jewish boy" managed to last so long with so much BS drooling out of his mouth. He's arrogant, totally full of himself and completely useless/spineless.

To appear on the Apprentice, obviously the participants go through a selection process, if this is the cream of the crop God help the country. But we know the selection is made for "good" television, that was why a total incompetent like Michael, with one years work experience was chosen. The fact that he lasted so long, I am worried about Sir Alan's sanity.

Yeh - Michael`s gone at last - the slime ball. Lee should go next - he`s a real bully and needs to be zapped. He is also very sexist and should not be allowed to go any further - get a shave too would be a help. Alex just sits in the background but always comes through at the end - was his sale really within the last dying seconds??? Lucinda has been pursecuted by Lee for weeks - he had no right to speak to her like he did - she did have the raffle idea then it was booted out without a thought. Does Sir A see any of the footage? Why didn`t Margearet/Nick stand up for people - they were earlier in the series - classic responses were being made. Who would want to work for/with Lee - not me - he comes out with a load of drivel - the card week he suggested aliens and the tissue week he suggested snot!! I couldn`t work with someone who is into silly alarm clock impressions either. Get rid - you must have guessed I don`t like him. I don`t like Helene much but Sir A was rude to her last night. Claire for me.

I am so glad that Michael was fired last night, and i am sure i am not the only one who was shouting at the telly when he was fired. However i feel that i must make the point that if Sir Alan is looking for someone who can sell and manage then he is fighting a loosing battle. Sales people can not manage and managers can not sell, simple as. I feel that Helene would be a good winner for a management role, and Claire or Alex would be good sales people. Hope Sir Alan sees the light and hires two people.

Lol- what took him so long! I think he should've definately gone last week, the way he just used the team leader (I forget his name) as a scapegoat and lied about who made decisions/etc was just sickening! He said he'd been the only one to contribute to the team or do anything! Doesn't Alan watch the footage? Is it up to his assistants to inform him whats happened? I wanted the leader from the failing tissue group (sorry, wish I knew names!) to win. He wasn't bitchy, he was honest, genuine, and good at the tasks, in my opinion.

Nice to see Mr Sophocles gets booted out, what a wind bag, now who's next for the chop. If people like this are the next generation of management or city slickers, then I think I will find another country to live in.
