If you'd have opened your window last night at about 9.55pm you'd have heard the sound of cheering across the land as Michael Sophocles was FINALLY given his marching orders in The Apprentice.
Michael seemed to get 'one last chance' from Sir Alan every single week and managed to wriggle off the hook from all sorts of disastrous tasks - from cheating over the tennis rackets to the kosher chicken debacle!
Last night's boardroom was real edge of the seat stuff - with at one point it looking like Helene was going to be sacked. Sir Alan quite rightly pointed out that we haven't seen much of Helene during the ten weeks of the show - what exactly does she do? His character assassination of her though did feel a bit too harsh - anyone else agree? We do feel that her card has been well and truly marked and it will take a minor miracle if she is not next to go.
And where has it all gone wrong with Lucinda? Only a couple of weeks ago we were rooting for her to win the series but last night she once again seemed more interested in sabotaging the task for team leader Lee than helping out. Her efforts at selling were pitiful and she was preoccupied with getting recognition for her contribution. Can she redeem herself next week?
Lee, Alex and Claire all had a very good week and these three now look like the ones to beat. Claire has really got her act together and is even managing to keep her mouth shut in the boardroom. Could she end up the surprise winner?
What did you think of last night's show? Should Sir Alan have sacked more than one person? Who do you think will win?

Posted by: bethanypowell on Wed May 28 01:11PM | Report abuseI quite agree Lee, Alex and Claire are the ones to watch but I really would have liked Raef to win Lucinda seems to pick an argument with every team leader
Posted by: derek.k88 on Wed May 28 01:13PM | Report abuseLee and Alex are complete liars and completely devious with the biggest egos on telly - Twice they have stitched up Lucinda - first in the tissue task and then last night when she said she would need support and they just did their "all @#$% together " act and pushed her out of the team - playground stuff and they should really grow up -they are a nasty pair
Posted by: nicky.wallace on Wed May 28 01:14PM | Report abusei can't help but think, is helene not really a bloke in drag. she/he could turn milk sour just by looking at it..
Posted by: alba_gur_brath on Wed May 28 01:15PM | Report abuseI have to agree with the person who commented that he would never employ any of the contestants. However,Michael should never have been selected,as one year's experience is barely enough to teach him to write proper letters & lick stamps. He lasted far too long & I think most of us are sick of his whingeing begging to be given 1 more chance. He should get some real experience & grow up
Posted by: tedbellamy on Wed May 28 01:15PM | Report abusewill you please stop telling us on your front page who got fired!!! I can rarely catch the show when its on and have to rely on iplayer or seeing a repeat on saturday night. I use yahoo for my emails and this is getting REALLY annoying. The last two shows have been ruined because of your inconsiderate behaviour.
Posted by: henryrtidd on Wed May 28 01:15PM | Report abusePlease, please get rid of Lucinda. She is a paracite and just manages to get by. Make her team leader next week and she will go.

Posted by: s.tozzo on Wed May 28 01:15PM | Report abuseI have to say that if Michael hadn't been sacked last night I wouldn't have watched anymore because Sir Alan's bias towards him was coming accross as Michael being favoured due to his Jewish blood.
